Spring

Spring is the Diva Challenge of this week (#264), so I tried to put a lot of flowers in my tile: Henna Drum, Zinger, Fassett, Diva Dance.  And I used a sort of a spiral or a rope in the middle with Snail in it.  In dutch the word 'spring' means in fact 'to jump', that's were the rope comes up.

And so far... no realy spring weather in Belgium up till now; it's  cold and rainy almost every day.

Boy with a dog

During Easter holliday's we went to 's Hertogenbosch (Netherlands) to visit the exposition of Jheronimus Bosch.  As we were there, we also visited the St. Jan Cathedral, and got a tour on top of it.  From above, you can see the many sculptures that are on the bows above, to support the Cathedral.  There are about 100 sculptures and they are all very beautiful, and all different.  Many of them are probably designed by J. Bosch also.

I was working on a zentangle of such a sculpture in my sketchbook when I saw the Diva Challenge of this week (#262) , to use the pattern Fassett.  It's such a nice pattern, and I used it in the sleaves of the boy. I put it next to Five which I used in the rest of the boy' s shirt.

Here I post my result and also some pictures of the nice sculptures you can see on the Cathedral.

Challenges Square One March

Already spring, but the weather is not good in March here.  A lot of wind and rain and no sunshine... so perpect weather to tangle !

Week one (and two): Yuma
Not really my favorite, but it becomes better and better.

Week three: Akoya
I already used it a couple of times, but I did not know the name of the pattern.  So thank you Square One for this focus, and learning me names of new patterns !

Week four: Knightsbridge
Easter holliday's !
While the children were on their holliday's, my husbund and I also made a little trip to s' Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands), for the exposition of Jeronimus Bosch.  Before and after I had the time to make this nice tile, and took the picture on the catalogue of the exposition.
